Murder charge in Conway woman’s death – Katelyn Bennett, 33 – Obituary

Chriwanta Cyntonio Bryant, 29, of Conway, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the April 3 shooting death of Katelyn Bennett, 33. Bryant is charged with murder after allegedly shooting Bennett multiple times with a handgun.

Investigators uncovered the details through cellphone location data and digital evidence from Bryant’s phone. Bennett’s body was discovered in her car near the intersection of Highway 905 and Gore Road, where she was believed to have been shot while seated in the vehicle. Her father, David John Bennett, had also been murdered in 2016. Bryant is currently being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
