James Blevins, a 24-year-old resident of Summerville, lost his life in a tragic accident during a police chase near Moncks Corner. The incident occurred on the evening of November 20 around 9:40 p.m. on US Highway 17A near US Highway 52.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Blevins was fleeing from law enforcement when his vehicle veered off the left side of the road and collided with a pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
