Fatal I-25 crash near Colorado Springs results in the death of Michael Lose – Obituary
A fatal collision occurred on October 26, 2024, on Interstate 25 near Colorado Springs, claiming the life of 25-year-old Michael Lose. The crash took place around 10 a.m. when Lose’s vehicle collided with the back of a fuel truck.
According to police, both vehicles were traveling southbound when Lose’s car was observed weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds. The fuel truck was merging onto the interstate when the crash happened. While a passenger in Lose’s vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the fuel truck driver was unharmed.
At the time of the crash, impairment was not considered a factor, although speed is believed to have contributed to the incident. Lose’s death marks the 44th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs for the year.
