Fatal Sudbury head-on crash claims the life of Jason Behenna – Obituary
The victim of a deadly head-on collision on Boston Post Road in Sudbury has been identified as 50-year-old Jason Behenna, a Marlborough resident and sports information director at Regis College in Weston. Behenna was involved in the crash around 8:22 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, and was later pronounced dead at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
According to authorities, Behenna was driving a Hyundai sedan when, for reasons still under investigation, his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Lexus SUV. The driver of the Lexus, a 40-year-old woman from Cambridge, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Behenna was remembered by Regis College President Antoinette Hays, who praised his dedication to the university, stating, “His contributions have shaped the athletic and professional careers of innumerable student-athletes.” Behenna had worked at Regis College for seven years and was recognized for his work in the sports information field, including receiving the GNAC Athletic Communications Staff of the Year award in 2023. Tributes poured in from various colleges and sports organizations in honor of Behenna’s passion and influence.
