Fatal Washoe County, Nevada jail incident death of Peni M. Valu – Obituary.
Peni M. Valu, a 29-year-old man, tragically passed away while in custody at the Washoe County Jail earlier this month. According to the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, Valu reported experiencing a medical emergency and was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment. Despite efforts from hospital staff to save him, he died a few hours later. Authorities have stated that there is no evidence of self-harm, foul play, or criminal activity involved in his death. Valu is believed to have been homeless at the time of his incarceration. The cause and manner of death are still under investigation.
