Monte’l Porter-Robinson dies in fatal North Charleston shooting

Fatal North Charleston shooting death of Monte’l Porter-Robinson – Obituary

The Charleston County Coroner has identified Monte’l Porter-Robinson, a 28-year-old man from Hollywood, South Carolina, as the individual killed in a shooting on Sablewood Street early Thursday morning.

Officers from the North Charleston Police Department were dispatched around 4:03 a.m. in response to a reported shooting. Shortly after the initial call, dispatch received another call from a woman who claimed she had been shot by someone and, in self-defense, had shot the suspect.

Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
