Authorities have identified Shirley Hollan, 66, as the victim of a train collision in Portland, Tennessee. Hollan lost her life at the scene after her SUV was struck by an oncoming train, as reported by Smokey Barn News.

 

The incident occurred as Hollan attempted to drive across the railroad tracks despite the activated crossing signals. A train traveling eastbound collided with her vehicle, causing it to overturn and land on its roof in a nearby ditch.

 

In the wake of this tragic event, Hollan’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral costs.
