Fatal Woodstock car crash death of Gregory Rokus – Obituary
Gregory Rokus, 53, of Woodstock, tragically passed away on November 24, 2024, after a fatal car crash. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on East Kimball Avenue when Rokus crashed into a tree.
Despite the swift response of the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and police officers, who performed CPR at the scene, Rokus succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the results of the toxicology report, but no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Rokus was a former advertising account executive at the Northwest Herald and a graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
