The incident occurred early Thursday morning at approximately 12:53 a.m. along the 13500 block of FM-529. Investigators reported that Janas, traveling westbound, swerved left and right to avoid the dog. This sudden maneuver caused his vehicle to veer off the road and collide with a utility pole.
