Fatal South Auckland crash death of Lil-Bouvalu Lyden – Obituary

Sixteen-year-old Lil-Bouvalu Lyden, a promising rugby league talent, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Auckland’s Randwick Park. Lyden, who had previously represented Tonga in rugby, was on his way to participate in a rippa rugby tournament when the crash occurred.

 

Lyden had recently secured a contract to play and study in Australia, marking a significant milestone in his budding rugby career. According to his uncle, Monty Filimaea, Lyden was a selfless individual, always putting others before himself and staying focused on his future.

 

The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Hyperion Dr near Manurewa, as Lyden was picking up a friend for the tournament. His family and friends remember him as a talented sportsman and a dedicated leader.
