Fatal Appleton shooting death of Daniel Juedes Sr. – Obituary
Daniel Juedes Sr., 74, of Appleton, tragically lost his life following a shooting incident on Sunday morning. Appleton Police responded to a disturbance with a weapon at a residence on South Sanders Street, where they discovered Juedes with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the scene.
The victim’s son, 45-year-old Gregory Juedes of Kaukauna, was arrested after a brief pursuit. Police initiated the chase when Gregory fled the scene, leading them from State Highway 441 to northbound I-41. The pursuit ended in Kaukauna, where Gregory ran from his vehicle but was apprehended just before 8:00 a.m.
Gregory Juedes faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide, vehicle operator fleeing/eluding an officer, and resisting/obstructing an officer. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
