Cohen Josef Quigley, 16, tragically lost his life after leading state troopers on a high-speed chase before crashing into a tree outside Four Oaks, North Carolina. The incident occurred late Friday night when a trooper attempted to stop Quigley, who was driving a Chrysler 300 at 103 miles per hour on Interstate 40. Quigley refused to pull over and continued his high-speed drive, eventually exiting onto US-301 North before losing control and veering off the road into a tree.

Quigley was pronounced dead at the scene, while a juvenile passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries. Authorities have stated that Quigley was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
