Fatal Saginaw crash death of Demon M. Galvin and My’Eshia O. Barnes – Obituary
Saginaw authorities have identified the two victims of a deadly crash that occurred early on Sunday, December 1. Demon M. Galvin and My’Eshia O. Barnes, both 24, were killed in a vehicle accident at approximately 3:50 a.m. Police were called to the scene of a burning car near Hess Avenue and Birch Park Drive, close to Birch Park Apartments. There, they found a 2018 Dodge Durango on its side, engulfed in flames after crashing into a utility pole.
Barnes and another 24-year-old woman, who was ejected from the vehicle, were rushed to the scene but were pronounced dead. Galvin was found trapped inside the vehicle. Officers attempted to put out the fire using extinguishers, but were unsuccessful until firefighters arrived. The other woman, from Bridgeport, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later transferred.
The Saginaw County Multijurisdictional Traffic Crash Team is investigating, with initial findings indicating that speed may have contributed to the crash. This tragic event marks the third and fourth traffic-related fatalities in the city in recent weeks.
