Fatal Bohemia hit-and-run death of Joan Foley – Obituary.

Joan Foley, a 59-year-old woman from Central Islip, was killed in a hit-and-run crash on November 27, 2024, while crossing Veterans Memorial Highway at 5th Avenue in Bohemia. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. when a westbound vehicle struck Foley and fled the scene.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are actively investigating the incident and are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
