A 58-year-old man from Fishkill, Michael Fitzgerald, was killed in a single-car crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley on the evening of November 27. According to State Police, Fitzgerald lost control of his vehicle between the Route 301 and Peekskill Hollow Road exits, causing it to veer off the road. Despite efforts to assist, Fitzgerald was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
