Alberto Rodriguez, 24, of Menlo Park, was killed in a crash on Interstate 5 early on Monday, December 2. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Volvo tractor-trailer collided with the rear of a Subaru Outback that had stopped behind a Freightliner truck. Rodriguez, who was an unrestrained passenger in the Subaru, died at the scene of the crash. The driver and four other occupants of the Subaru sustained injuries, while the drivers of the Volvo and Freightliner were uninjured. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
