Fatal Billings apartment fire death of Lindia Grooms – Obituary
Lindia Grooms, a 61-year-old Billings resident, tragically passed away in an apartment fire on November 29. Firefighters responded to the scene at 708 12th Street West around 12:30 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing loud bangs and smelling what they described as “cigar smoke” in the hallways. Despite their efforts, Grooms was found deceased at the scene.
The Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner determined that the cause of death was smoke inhalation and burns, and ruled the death accidental.
