Fatal Cleburne County woods death of Vendula ‘Wendy’ Rose – Obituary

 

Vendula “Wendy” Rose, a 58-year-old hiker from Marysville, Ohio, has been identified after her body was found near Cheaha State Park in Alabama. Rose had been missing for nearly three months after disappearing in late September, when her vehicle was discovered abandoned at Pinhoti Trail Head. The body was located by a hunter on Saturday, approximately five miles from where her car had been found, with identification confirming the body as Rose’s. The cause of death remains undetermined as the investigation continues.
