Fatal Rolla house fire death of Anna Sue West – Obituary
A deadly house fire occurred in Rolla, Missouri, on Thursday, claiming the life of 73-year-old Anna Sue West. Emergency responders arrived at the home on County Road 2250 shortly after the fire was reported. Despite their efforts, West was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her 54-year-old son was found injured and airlifted to Mercy Trauma Center in St. Louis for urgent medical treatment.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department, along with the St. James Fire Department, the Phelps County Coroner, and the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office.
