Fatal Sandy Township car crash death of Trent Clark – Obituary

Trent Clark, a 31-year-old man from Waynesburg, lost his life in a tragic wrong-way crash Saturday afternoon. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Clark was driving his 2020 Chevrolet Equinox southbound in the northbound lane of State Route 43 when he collided head-on with a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer traveling in the correct direction. The accident took place near Waynesburg Drive SE, just after 1 p.m.

Emergency responders pronounced Clark dead at the scene. The 55-year-old female driver of the Blazer, from Amsterdam, Ohio, along with her male passenger, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Authorities believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
