Fatal Lincoln County, Kentucky pedestrian crash death of Brian McKenzie Bourne – Obituary

A collision in Lincoln County resulted in the death of 28-year-old Brian McKenzie Bourne on Saturday night. The Stanford Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident.

 

Authorities reported that a vehicle struck Bourne on US-27 near the FiveStar location around 9:45 p.m. Emergency responders treated him at the scene before transporting him to Fort Logan Hospital. Tragically, he was pronounced dead just before midnight.

 

Police indicated that alcohol is not suspected to have played a role in the crash. The driver involved in the accident was arrested at the scene on an unrelated outstanding warrant. Their identity has not been disclosed.

 

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
