On December 6, 2024, 44-year-old Drew Robert Winters tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident in West Palm Beach, Florida. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on 45th Street near I-95. A 911 caller reported finding an unconscious man in the roadway at the 2700 block of 45th Street.
Authorities revealed that Winters was attempting to cross 45th Street southbound when he was struck by a silver vehicle. The driver fled the scene, leaving Winters critically injured. The impact propelled him into the westbound travel lanes. Emergency responders pronounced Winters dead at the scene.
Police closed two westbound lanes of 45th Street for approximately four hours while they conducted their investigation. Officers are still working to identify the driver and determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
