Fatal Benque Viejo road traffic accident claims Jasmine Rodriguez and daughter Jazelle Rodriguez – Obituary
Thirty-year-old Jasmine Rodriguez and her young daughter, Jazelle Rodriguez, have been identified as two of the ten fatalities in a devastating road collision near Benque Viejo. Twenty-one-year-old Dennis Williams was also among the victims in the tragic crash.
According to Police Commissioner Chester Williams, the incident involved three vehicles: a Ford Expedition SUV, a Toyota Corolla taxi, and a motorcycle. The Ford Expedition, carrying four passengers, was heading from San Ignacio toward Benque Viejo. Meanwhile, the Toyota Corolla taxi, with nine passengers, was traveling in the opposite direction. Tragically, the motorcycle, which had a single rider, was also involved in the collision.
Reports indicate that the Corolla, driven by Ruduel Parham (who also perished), collided with the motorcycle, leading to a catastrophic explosion. The crash claimed the lives of all nine passengers in the taxi, including Parham, and the motorcyclist.
Among the deceased were Shailer Lopez, 31; Abigail Bradley, 29; Keilin Pinelo, 24; Jaheim Inglesias, 19; and Aimie Hernandez. Jasmine Rodriguez and her daughter Jazelle were also traveling in the ill-fated taxi.
The Ford Expedition’s occupants suffered varying injuries, with two passengers hospitalized in critical condition and the other two sustaining minor injuries. The accident marks one of the deadliest road tragedies in recent history.
