Fatal New Castle pedestrian accident death of Edward Gallagher – Obituary
Edward Gallagher, a 44-year-old man, tragically died on Saturday night after being struck by a car while walking along Route 13, north of Route 273, near New Castle. Police report that Gallagher stepped into the south lane of the highway where he was hit by a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 38-year-old man from Smyrna. The driver was unable to avoid the collision, and Gallagher was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the incident.
