Fatal Falls Township industrial accident death of Bryan Mena – Obituary.

Bryan Mena, a 26-year-old man from Bristol Borough, was tragically killed early Monday morning in an industrial accident at the Kinder Morgan-operated port in Falls Township.

At around 1:15 a.m., emergency responders were called to the scene where Mena had been struck by a digging bucket while it was excavating sugar from the hull of a docked cargo ship. The U.S. Coast Guard and OSHA were notified, and an investigation is underway.

The specific ship involved has not been confirmed, but records show that two large bulk carriers, the Ricarda and Genco Picardy, were docked at the time. An autopsy for Mena is scheduled for Wednesday.

Kinder Morgan issued a statement offering condolences to Mena’s family and colleagues, noting that the incident is under investigation, though operations at the port continue without disruption.
