A tragic accident occurred in Martinsburg, West Virginia, on the evening of December 11, 2024, when 29-year-old Samuel Alberto Alomino Rivera was struck by a vehicle. The incident took place just before 7 p.m. on the 100 block of Baker Road, where Rivera was walking along the shoulder. A 2016 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 53-year-old Jaime Bayliss, collided with Rivera as it was traveling westbound. Rivera was rushed to Berkeley Medical Center but later died from his injuries. Bayliss was not injured in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been announced at this time.
