A man, identified as Francisco Guerra, tragically lost his life Thursday morning after being struck by a tractor-trailer. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. near Exit 13 on the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Laredo. According to police, the trucker, traveling south on the highway, veered out of his lane and collided with Guerra’s 2014 Range Rover Evoque, which had stopped on the shoulder. Guerra had exited the vehicle and was in the process of leaving when the tractor-trailer struck him.
Guerra was transported to a local hospital, where he later passed away. The trucker is cooperating with authorities, and Laredo Police Department’s Crash Team Unit is conducting a further investigation into the incident.
