Fatal South Philadelphia pedestrian crash death of Peter Sorochinski – Obituary
Peter Sorochinski, 55, from Levittown, Pennsylvania, tragically died after being struck by several vehicles on Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.
The incident occurred Tuesday night around 9 p.m. near the Market Street on-ramp. Sorochinski had been involved in a single-vehicle crash and sustained a suspected head injury. A passerby stopped to help and called police, but Sorochinski, after making a phone call, stepped into the southbound lane.
He was first hit by a silver sedan, whose driver fled the scene, and then struck by two other vehicles, whose drivers stopped. Sorochinski was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still seeking the driver of the sedan.
