Fatal Mobile apartment shooting death of David Kevin Jr. – Obituary
Mobile Police have confirmed that 44-year-old David Kevin Jr. was shot and killed at Hunter’s Pointe Apartments on Thursday night, December 12, 2024. Officers arrived at the scene and found Kevin suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
Police have taken 21-year-old Charell Smith into custody in connection with the shooting. Smith is alleged to have shot Kevin during an argument. This marks the fifth homicide investigation in Mobile since last Friday, following a series of violent incidents that include a mass shooting, a fatal shooting on I-65, and a murder-suicide. The investigation into Kevin’s death is ongoing.
