On Thursday, December 12, 2024, 35-year-old Weston Wade of Canton Township tragically lost his life in a shooting in the Meyers Lake area. The incident occurred at a residence on the 1500 block of DeVille Avenue NW. Authorities responded to the scene at 3:07 p.m., and Wade was later pronounced dead at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital at 3:41 p.m.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the domestic-related shooting.
