Fatal Minneapolis shooting death of Quadir Blackwell – Obituary
Quadir Blackwell, a young boy from Minneapolis, tragically passed away following what authorities have described as an accidental shooting on November 5, 2024. Blackwell was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside a home on the 2400 block of Ferrant Place. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide. Police reports indicate that a 14-year-old boy was handling a firearm when it discharged, fatally wounding Blackwell. At the time of the incident, two women and other children were present in the home. The 14-year-old boy was taken into custody and is facing charges in juvenile court as the investigation continues.
