Fatal Grant County crash death of Ronald Lee Vernlund – Obituary
Ronald Lee Vernlund, 81, tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Grant County.
The crash took place at 2:38 p.m. on December 10, about two and a half miles east of Milbank.
Vernlund was driving east on 149th Street in his 2000 Ford F250 when the vehicle slid off the icy road, went into the north ditch, and rolled into a nearby field.
He was ejected from the truck and suffered fatal injuries. The incident is currently under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol, and further details are yet to be released.
