Fatal Birmingham shooting death of Ty’Keem Dishad Moore – Obituary
Ty’Keem Dishad Moore, a 22-year-old resident of Birmingham, was fatally shot late Tuesday evening. Police confirmed that Moore, who was found unresponsive in an alleyway on the 1800 block of Princeton Court Southwest, was among the 17 individuals injured during the mass shooting in the Five Points South entertainment district.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting just before midnight on December 10. When they arrived, they discovered Moore on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified Moore and stated that he appeared to be the intended target in this incident. This tragic event is believed to be unrelated to the broader investigation of the mass shooting on Magnolia Avenue, where a gunman had previously opened fire, killing four and injuring multiple others.
At this time, no suspects are in custody in connection with Moore’s death. The Birmingham Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting them directly at 205-254-1764 or through Crimestoppers at (205) 254-7777.
