Keith Nolen arrested in fatal Redmond shooting of Feldmiller
Fatal Redmond shooting death of River Feldmiller – Obituary
A 26-year-old man was killed in a shooting earlier this month in Redmond, Oregon. River Feldmiller, who was found dead in a truck on December 10 following a reported gunshot, was identified as the victim of the homicide. Authorities initially identified Keith Nolen, a transient, as the suspect in the shooting.
Following an intense investigation, Nolen was located at a travel trailer north of Highway 126 early Sunday morning. After refusing to surrender to law enforcement, Nolen was subdued with the use of chemical irritants and a K-9 bite before being arrested. The Central Oregon Emergency Response Team (CERT) took him into custody, and he was transported for medical treatment before being booked into Deschutes County Jail.
Nolen faces charges including second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and an outstanding warrant. The investigation, which began with the discovery of Feldmiller’s body, saw a coordinated effort from the Major Incident Team, DCSO SWAT, CERT, and local authorities, ultimately leading to Nolen’s capture.
