Authorities in Jacksonville, Illinois, are investigating the deaths of two 28-year-old men found in separate homes on Wednesday. The Morgan County Coroner, Marcy Patterson, confirmed the victims’ identities as Kyle Tribble and Christopher Norton.
Tribble was discovered unresponsive at his home at approximately 8 a.m. Following this, investigators located Norton at another residence near East Street and Superior Avenue around 2 p.m. Both men were pronounced dead at the scenes.
The deaths have been labeled as suspicious, but officials believe the incident is isolated and poses no danger to the public. Autopsies are being conducted in Springfield to determine the exact causes of death.
The ongoing investigation involves multiple agencies, including the Jacksonville Police Department, the Illinois State Police, the Morgan County Coroner’s Office, and the State’s Attorney’s Office. Additional support is being provided by the South Jacksonville Police Department and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
