Fatal Spartanburg County shooting deaths of Sherman Armand Sims and Susan Marie Gonzalez – Obituary.
Authorities in Spartanburg County are investigating a tragic double homicide that occurred on Thursday afternoon. Deputies responded to the Hometown Studios on Mobile Drive at 3:45 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a woman claiming she had shot two individuals in room 120.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two people inside the specified room, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Sherman Armand Sims, 32, and Susan Marie Gonzalez, 38. The coroner noted that the two victims resided in separate apartments.
Deputies located the woman who made the 911 call at an apartment complex on Spruce Street. She was taken into custody and brought to the sheriff’s office for questioning.
Autopsies for both victims are scheduled for Friday morning as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet disclosed any potential motives behind the shootings.
