Fatal Aiken County crash death of Richard Fowler – Obituary

Richard Fowler, an 81-year-old man from Eutawville, South Carolina, was identified as the victim of a single-vehicle crash in Aiken County.

The incident occurred Sunday around 9:46 p.m. on South Dixie Road near Veterans Road. Fowler was driving a 2018 Kia westbound when the vehicle ran off the road, struck a ditch, and collided with a tree.

Fowler was transported by Aiken County EMS to Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
