Fatal Sturgis crash death of Marjorie B. Smith – Obituary
Marjorie B. Smith, 80, of Custer, South Dakota, tragically died from injuries sustained in a crash on December 10, 2024. The crash took place on westbound I-90 near mile marker 36, about four miles east of Sturgis. According to troopers, a 77-year-old man lost control of the pickup truck, causing it to roll in the median.
Smith, a passenger in the truck, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries on December 16. The driver, who also sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, remains in recovery.
