Two victims have been identified in a tragic accident that occurred during a windstorm on December 18, 2024, on US Highway 2 near East Airport Drive and Sunset Frontage Road. Elisha Brian, 30, and Eric Saint, 56, were killed when a tree fell onto their box truck.
The crash, which took place around 6:30 a.m., caused the truck to veer off the road after being struck by the tree. Both victims suffered blunt force injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the tree had fallen as part of the windstorm that affected the area. After several hours of investigation, the highway was reopened.
Stericycle, the company that owned the truck, expressed their sorrow and offered condolences to the families of the victims. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up for the family of Elisha Brian, described as a kind and caring father by a family friend.
