Fatal Woodland train accident death of Jeffirey S. Murdock – Obituary
Cowlitz County authorities have identified 19-year-old Jeffirey S. Murdock from Woodland as the victim of a fatal accident involving a freight train. The tragic event occurred near the intersection of Davidson Avenue and North Pekin Road, close to the Woodland Action Center Thrift Store, just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to Fire Chief John Nohr, the body was found underneath the train shortly after the incident. An investigation concluded that Murdock died from blunt-force trauma, and the death has been ruled a suicide. Authorities responded promptly, but sadly, the young man’s life was lost in the tragic accident.
