Fatal Huntington Park shooting death of Jessica Picot – Obituary
Authorities have identified 23-year-old Jessica Picot as the woman fatally shot in Huntington Park on Monday evening. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed her identity after she was found dead at the scene inside a truck on the 3900 block of East 60th Street, near Carmelita and Corona avenues.
Officers from the Huntington Park Police Department responded to the call at 9:40 p.m., where they also discovered a man who was with Picot and had been wounded in the shooting.
The man sought help at a nearby liquor store before contacting police. The Sheriff’s Department is working with local authorities to investigate the incident, and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
