Fatal Lexington County car crash death of William F. Orris – Obituary

A deadly two-vehicle collision on Christmas Eve claimed the life of 73-year-old William F. Orris of Gaston, South Carolina, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Fish Hatchery Road near Sand Mountain Road in Lexington County.

Authorities reported that a Nissan SUV, driven by Orris, was heading south on Fish Hatchery Road when it collided with a KIA SUV traveling north. Orris suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash.

The driver of the KIA SUV, identified as 37-year-old Joaquin Baltzar Hernandez, was charged with felony DUI resulting in death. Hernandez was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment following the collision.
