The victim of a shooting in Bridgeport on Saturday has been identified as 27-year-old Steven Vega.
Police responded to the 200 block of Lake Street around 4:30 p.m. and found Vega with gunshot wounds to his torso and hand.
An altercation reportedly began inside a home on Lake Street before escalating outdoors, leading to the fatal shooting. Vega was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead on Sunday morning.
Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident, with the victim possibly knowing the shooter. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
