Fatal Bessemer shooting death of Allen J. Thomas – Obituary
On the evening of the shooting, Bessemer Police were called to the 1200 block of 13th Street North around 10 p.m. regarding a 13-year-old boy who had been shot.
The victim, later identified as Allen J. Thomas, was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Investigators believe the shooting occurred while Thomas was inside a residence when an unknown suspect or suspects fired into the home.
As of now, no arrests have been made in the case. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
