Fatal Kowloon Bay motorcycle crash death of Mr. Wong – Obituary
On January 3, 2025, a tragic incident in Kowloon Bay claimed the life of 27-year-old motorcyclist Mr. Wong.
The collision took place at around 5:46 p.m. when Wong, reportedly pursued by traffic police, crashed into an off-duty Customs officer who had attempted to stop him by standing in the road on Wang Kee Street, near the Hongkong Post Building. As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist fatally struck a pole.
The Customs officer, who suffered minor injuries, was transported to a hospital for treatment. A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle.
He has been released on bail, and the investigation is ongoing. The authorities are consulting with the Department of Justice to determine the next steps in the case.
