Fatal Lin Cheung Road traffic accident death of Su
A tragic accident occurred on Lin Cheung Road in Hong Kong this morning, claiming the life of a 50-year-old delivery driver, Su, employed by Maxim’s Caterers.
The incident took place around 7 a.m. when a goods vehicle, speeding at 120 km/h, collided with a stationary refuse truck that had broken down in the slow lane.
Despite the truck’s high speed, eyewitnesses reported no attempt at braking before the crash.
Su suffered severe injuries, fell into a coma, and was later pronounced dead at Kwong Wah Hospital. Maxim’s Caterers expressed deep condolences to the family.
The accident caused traffic disruptions on Lin Cheung Road, but the lanes were reopened by 11:31 a.m. The refuse truck driver, a 54-year-old woman, was questioned at the scene.
