Fatal Temecula shooting death of Aaron Bowers – Obituary

Aaron Bowers, a 39-year-old Temecula resident, was tragically shot and killed early Saturday morning at a home on Josheroo Court, near Highway 79. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed his identity on Monday.

 

Authorities reported that 22-year-old Micah Chazz Harris, also a resident of Temecula, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Harris, who allegedly admitted to the shooting when he contacted law enforcement, was booked at the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody on $1 million bail as the District Attorney’s Office reviews his case.

 

According to Sgt. Jarred Bishop, deputies arrived at the scene around 5 a.m. after Harris reported the shooting. Upon arrival, they detained Harris and discovered Bowers inside the residence. Other individuals present at the time were questioned by investigators but were not arrested.

 

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and further details on the suspect’s background have not been released. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident is ongoing.
