Jennaleah Hin, a 17-year-old senior from Foothill High School in Henderson, was confirmed dead after a body matching her description was discovered in a desert area on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Hin had gone missing on December 30, following a family dispute, leaving a note that suggested she was leaving for good. Her parents, Corey and Jennifer Swanson, made a public plea for her return just days before the discovery.
Unfortunately, her body was found by a hiker in a desert location near Desert Sunflower Circle. The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation by the Clark County coroner’s office.
Hin’s high school, where she was a senior, expressed their sorrow, with Principal Jonathan Synold sending condolences to the community. The school offered counseling services for students coping with the loss of a beloved peer.
