Victor Garibay dies in fatal Mesa shooting

Fatal Mesa shooting death of Victor Garibay – Obituary

Victor Garibay, 28, was fatally shot on December 18 near McKellips Road and Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway in Mesa, Arizona.

According to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, 16-year-old Edgar Quintero was caught on surveillance footage shooting and killing Garibay in a pickup truck.

 

After the shooting, Quintero was seen fleeing the scene but later returned to drive the truck with Garibay’s body inside. The truck was later found abandoned in the desert by Mesa police.

 

Quintero has been indicted and is being charged as an adult with first-degree murder, armed robbery, theft of means of transportation, abandonment or concealment of a dead body, and tampering with evidence.
