Fatal Augusta shooting death of Cattory McBride – Obituary

On January 7, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident in the 1900 block of Walker Street, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Cattory McBride. The shooting occurred near Lamar-Milledge Elementary School around 1:27 p.m.

 

Deputies discovered McBride with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward.

 

The case has now been classified as a homicide, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
